Passions' Martimmy Recipe
A little background for my British friends...Passions is a soap opera on NBC in the United States. It is about this not so harmonious town called Harmony where confusion, heartache and pain is all the cause of a witch named Tabitha. Tabitha had a living doll named Timmy. One of Timmy's gifts was making a Martimmy. Tabitha loved them.
This item is just as popular as another Passions running gag, the Tomato Soup cake.
On an adventure to do good, Timmy ran away and teamed up with Julian who was a ruthless bastard whose father works for the Dark Side as does Tabitha. Julian loved Timmy's Martimmys.
Sadly, the character Timmy was to die on the show to give the character Charity a heart transplant. Unfortunately, on the same day of Timmy's death airing, the actor Josh Ryan Evans died due to complications with his heart during routine testing.
The official recipe for this Martimmy was originally displayed on NBC's web site.
- 3 12oz cans of lemonade, thawed/diluted
- 1 bottle of ginger ale
- 1 cup of frozen orange juice, thawed/diluted
- 1 quart of cranberry juice cocktail
- 1 orange thinly sliced into 12 pieces
Combine liquid ingredients together, mix well. Serve chilled with a slice of orange.
Personal Note: Come on, those of us with the guts to admit we watched that horrible soap opera Passions all know that Julian was a lush. If you want to kick it up a notch, add one shot of one of the following rum, tequilla, or vodka in your glass before you pour in the Martimmy.
