Settling In-Between Meal Hunger
There is a call for munching on snacks throughout the day. It saves you needing such a big meal at three stops and allows you to graze on smaller portions each time. The smaller the serving, the less chance of health risks.
When one usually thinks snacks, it is almost always some form of comfort food. Comfort foods are fine, in moderation. It is the abuse of such comfort foods which leads to health problems. I'm not saying abandon the idea of eating a serving of macaroni and cheese or a slice of cold pizza in the middle of the day, but just to use reason when doing it. A serving, a true serving, won't harm you. What most people assume consists of a serving is what is harmful. Often, people are accustom to going to restaurants where the norm is to give their diners over-stuffed portions of food which would be the equivalent of 3-4 servings they give to one person. You may actually be surprised when you read labels about what a true serving size may be. Your typical can of soda is actually 2.5 servings, yet I'm sure you probably drink the whole can thinking it is one.
