Many of our castings are made from the original Victorian patterns which we have exclusively acquired.

The pattern for the mould that the iron is poured into is expertly shaped by our craftsman and the moulds are prepared. The molten iron is poured from the furnace into smelting pots to be transferred to the moulds. The molten iron is poured into the moulds where it is left to set. After the iron in the moulds has cooled, the sand that makes up the mould is removed from the cast iron to reveal the desired shape. The newly moulded iron is de-burred and fettled by hand to remove any unwanted edges and generally finish the product. The iron is finally coated with a tough powder coated shell to make it look and feel beautiful and last a lifetime.
